PARIS GUIDE- DAY 1

PARIS

SPRING 2018

Follow my quick journey to Paris for where to shop, eat and sightsee.

DAY 1

VENDOME

WESTIN HOTEL
3 RUE DE CASTIGLIONE, 75001 PARIS, FRANCE

Checking in at the Westin.

Convenient place to stay if you are looking to shop for some luxury goods, I highly recommend avoiding the flagship stores at the champs-eslyesse where heaps of tourists line up daily. In Vendome you'll actually get to enjoy your shopping experience and get great customer service. TIP: popular items are usually out of stock, luxury items that are on high demand I recommend visiting your favorite shops between 10am-12noon on weekdays.

CHANEL
3 RUE CAMBON
of course, we stopped at the Rue Cambon store but I was not impressed. Stock was sparse and very understaffed.
I much preferred shopping at their Le Bon Marche department store boutique. TIP: you might want to hold your Chanel purchase till you get to the airport, sometimes they have rare stock and classics.

KINUGAWA
9 RUE DU MONT THABOR, VENDOME

LOUIS VUITTON MAISON CHAMPS ELYSEES

I made it a point to stopped at the LV in the Champs location because this store incorporated a lot more design element in the interior and its architecture. On the top floor is a space designed for personalized LV trunks, an artist will work with you individually to create painted "badges" for your item.

FOUQUET'S
 99 AVE DES CHAMPS- ELYSEE
Across the street from the Louis Vuitton store was were we had dinner, a classic Parisian meal.
It was time for some fries, FRENCH fries.

ARC DE TRIOMPHE
 PLACE CHARLES DE GAULLE

Believe it or not, this photo was taken at past 9pm, the sky was still bright and we had taken a nice long walk back to our hotel. It amazes me how the sun sets so late in Paris, but if the weather is nice I would highly recommend taking advantage and taking a night stroll, every corner you turn in this beautiful city is a picture perfect.

 Day 2 to be continued...

TIP:
Prior to the trip, I made a google map and pinned all the places I wanted to shop, dine, and see. Once the map is complete you will be able to save so much time by arranging your plans according to location and distance from one place to another.
I also made a shopping list as a guide, especially for drugstore cosmetics. It comes in handy when you walk in the a large pharmacy, you can have the pharmacist show you the items.
